Welcome to AM Solar

We appreciate your choosing us for the installation of your RV power system and have prepared the following information to help you plan and enjoy your time at our facility.

The most important thing for you to know is that we strive to maintain a clean, hazard free, healthy and safe environment for our customers and employees, and ask that you adhere to the following rules toward these efforts.

1) After the initial walkthrough to discuss/direct the scope of work being done on your RV, please stay out of the installation bay as much as possible until the job is complete. We’ve designed a place for you to observe some of the work being done through a window at the top of the stairs.
2) Keep pets on a leash or under your immediate control at all times.
3) Please keep the front gate closed when coming and going after business hours.
4) Smoking is not permitted inside our facility. If you smoke, please maintain a 50’ distance from all doors and windows of the building.
5) Report any issues or problems you observe that may pose a threat to the health and safety of everyone concerned to Garret or Cody as soon as possible.

Initial Walkthrough

Please plan to be at the shop by 9:30am unless you’ve made other arrangements with us. Once you arrive, we’ll go over your rig with you and discuss the layout/overview of the installation.

At this time, we’ll ask you to shift personal items inside your rig, and/or empty one or more storage areas onto a pallet to make room for our crew to work in and around your RV. Next, we’ll ask you to leave the installation area to let our people work uninterrupted on your rig, and direct you to our comfortable waiting room, complete with a good variety of RV related literature/visitor information and free wi-fi for internet access with your own computer.

If you leave the site, be sure to confirm we have your RV Keys along with current phone number, and to keep your phone “on” in case we need to contact you during the day. We’re glad to assist you with any information we can toward finding services or otherwise enjoying your visit in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Pets with good manners and who are well socialized are welcome in the waiting room and around the property. There is a lot of activity in and around the shop and office so it’s necessary to keep your pet(s) under close supervision during your stay. There are grassy areas outside to walk your pets, and we appreciate your ‘scooping the poop’, depositing pet waste in the green rolling tote near the front parking area. It’s always best to check ahead with us concerning special needs for pets.

Overnighters are welcome on a pre-arranged basis only. We have very limited space and will make every effort to accommodate your needs while having work done at our facility.

AM Solar Amenities/Services

We are pleased to provide a cozy waiting room for you to relax in while we are working on your RV, along with the following amenities and services:
1) Free Wi-Fi Internet connection. Use the AM Solar wi-fi service that does not require a password.
2) Kitchenette: microwave, sink, free coffee, tea and assorted fruit juices or sodas in the fridge.
3) Library: variety of RV related magazines, books, travel information and maps for use during your stay, as well as some free publications located in the front office.
4) Recycling and Garbage: Please refer to the laminated instruction sheet in the waiting room to identify recyclables and place them in the appropriate container. Garbage and/or pet waste can be put into the green rolling tote near the front parking area.
5) Mail and/or Packages: you are welcome to have mail or packages sent to our facility on or near the time of your appointment. Just be sure to let us know it is coming so we don’t refuse or return it!
6) RV Related Business Referrals: look for contact information of local businesses we recommend in our customer waiting room. There are also some brochures and catalogs to browse for more specific items or services you’re looking for.
7) Although AM Solar is pet friendly, be forewarned, we have an office dog named Blue Bonnet. While Blue is friendly, sometimes her friendliness can be perceived as threatening to smaller or less energetic animals. If you are concerned about how your pets will get along with Blue, keep your pets in carriers or let us know. We might be able to work out a situation where Blue and your pets share the downstairs space in staggered shifts.
8) We strongly discourage our customers from staying in their rigs while work is being done, but if leaving isn’t an option you should expect up to a 25% increase in labor hours on your project.
9) As a courtesy to installers, please arrive with an empty black tank and grey water tank.
10) Know that AM Solar has limited electrical hook ups.
11) Advice: We love telling people where to go! Let us know your culinary, recreational and/or other interests, and we’ll give you our best advice for finding something enjoyable to do in the Springfield/Eugene, or surrounding areas.
