This power system includes all the critical components to power a mobile lifestyle.  Two different charging sources (solar and shore power) charge a sealed AGM battery bank.  The components are designed to interface with your existing wiring and can easily power LEDs, fans and cell phone chargers.  On the AC side, a small inverter can power a laptop or an entertainment system.

This complete kit is composed of three subsystems:  Solar Charging, Battery Bank/Monitoring, & AC Input/Output.  These subsystems can be removed or modified based on what you already have or want.

Changing the Panels:  The charge controller can support a maximum of 200W, so you are pretty much maxed out on the controller.  You may consider removing one or both panels and switching to a single 170W panel or another panel rated at 200W or less.

Change the Charge Controller:  The current charge controller core is rated for 15A and uses 8ga cable.  If you want more than 200W of solar, check out our 30A or 50A charge controller cores using thicker 6ga or 4ga cable.

External Port:  An external charging port can be added that would allow for the use of folding panels as long as the charge controller can handle the extra wattage.

Different AGM Batteries:  The standard configuration comes with two 6V 220Ah AGM batteries.  If you want more energy storage you could get a single 12V 255Ah battery, or multiple 255Ah batteries connected in parallel.  You could also add more pairs of 6V 220Ah batteries, or upgrade to 300Ah or 400Ah batteries.  All batteries need to be the same make, model and age.

Lithium Batteries:  We offer three types of lithium battery systems to meet a wide variety of space limitations, uses and budget constraints.

More AC Outlets:  The standard inverter has one built-in AC outlet.  If you need more, you can plug in a power strip, or modify an extension cord to a sub panel with breakers and use that to feed additional outlets.

Add a Charger:  With this kit, you have 15A shore power charging.  It can be reduced to a simple 7A clip-on charger, or apermanently mounted Progressive Dynamics 45A or 60A model with shore power cord an inlet, or upgrade to an inverter/charger all-in-one unit.

Upgrade the Inverter:  For stand-alone inverters without chargers, we have 800VA and 1200VA models available.  You may also consider the Victron Multiplus 2000VA and 3000VA inverter/charger systems with shore power cord, inlet, main panel, and subpanel.

Upgrade the Display:  Add a wall mounted MPPT Control to monitor the charge controller or a Victron Color Control GX Monitor to show complete system status on a single animated display.
