AM Solar offers high-level tech support to its customers, but in order to stay in business, we need to establish some reasonable limits on the amount of free support we can offer.  These limits are based on the purchase price, which usually corresponds to the complexity of the system.  If you require additional support, it can be purchased in half-hour blocks here.  AM Solar reserves the right to refuse support of products not purchased through AM Solar.  AM Solar customers are entitled to a free wiring diagram which will indicate the connections within the kit and provide basic instructions.  A thorough reading of this material should reduce dependence on AM Solar support.  Time spent dealing with defective products will not count toward the support time limits.

$0 – Friendly Guidance: 5 minutes
Up to $1000 – Component Support: 10 minutes
Up to $3000 – Subsystem Configuration: 30 minutes
Up to $5000 – System Integration: 45 minutes
Up to $7000 – Full System Support: 60 minutes
Up to $12,000 – Complex Support:  2 hours
Up to $18,000 – Deluxe Support: 3 hours

You have 30 calendar days from the date in which your items are received to submit requests for returns.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition in which they were received. Some items have special conditions for return and those are outlined on the enclosed Return Material Request Form.

To initiate a return, simply follow the instructions on the enclosed Return Material Request Form.


Upon receipt and inspection of returned item(s), we will notify you on whether or not your return has been approved. If it is approved, we will issue a refund to your original payment method. A standard restocking fee of 5% will automatically be applied, up to 50% restocking fee depending on the circumstances of your order.

Please allow for up-to 2 weeks to fully process your return.

Missing Components:

Many of our systems breakdown into several individual components. While we do our very best to ensure you receive your order complete, there are occasions when a component falls under our radar. If you discover a missing component from your order, contact our office within 30 calendar days from the date in which your shipment was received to claim any missing item(s). Missing item claims will not be accepted past the 30 day window so it is very important to thoroughly inventory your shipments immediately upon receipt.


You will be responsible for covering the costs of the return shipping. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from refunds.

AM Solar recommends that customers pay close attention to product weights and verify with their RV manufacturer that their mobile power system does not exceed any design limitations. AM Solar has extensive experience with thousands of installations on hundreds of different applications. AM Solar uses all the resources at their disposal and our best judgment to determine what can safely be installed in your rig. But, because these power systems are so highly customized and novel to mobile applications, we are essentially venturing into the unknown. These systems are sold with the understanding that AM Solar cannot be held responsible for weight-related problems that may occur and it is the customer who is ultimately responsible for what goes in their rig.
