AM Solar Rocker Foot Mount Sets are the culmination of decades of RV solar installation experience.  The mounts are designed to attach to the short sides of the solar panels, near the corners to allow for manual tilting.  No penetration is needed when installed on fiberglass or metal roofs thanks to the VHB tape.  When installing on rubber, TPO or any rough surface, the included mounting screws are recommended.  AM Solar was founded in 2002 and has performed thousands of RV solar installations without having a single panel detach from a roof.

The mount adapters attach to the solar panel with a bolt passing through a ¼” hole in each corner of the panel’s aluminum frame.  Solar Panels not sold by AM Solar typically do not come with these holes and they have to be drilled on the bottom side of the frame, centered 1-3/8” from the short edge and 1” from the long edge.  Before purchasing panels it would be a good idea to confirm with the panel manufacturer that this will not void the warranty.

1.  Clean the surface you are mounting on with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
2.  Set the panel with mounts on the roof and position it while the mounts are semi-loose.  This will let everything settle into a natural tension-free position.
3.  Go around and tighten each Bolt gradually, being careful to keep the L-Foot in the same position.
4.  Lift the panel and peel the tape cover off of each mount foot.
5.  Place the sticky panel back on the roof in the same exact position.
6.  Check that each foot is flat against the roof, loosen knobs to make adjustments if necessary.
7.  Apply the sealant by completely burying the mount foot.
8.  If you have T-Knobs (sold separately), it is best to check that they are tight before going on a trip.
