Zamp Obsidian Mounts

For use with the Zamp Obsidian 100W solar panels. Low profile mounts are ideal for vans. Stabilized mounts are ideal for curved roofs like Airstreams.

AM Solar Rocker Foot Mount Sets are the culmination of decades of RV solar installation experience.  No penetration is needed when installed on fiberglass or metal roofs thanks to the VHB tape.  When installing on rubber, TPO or any rough surface, the included mounting screws are recommended.  AM Solar was founded in 2002 and has performed thousands of RV solar installations without having a single panel detach from a roof.

This mount set includes hardware designed specifically to work with Zamp Solar Obsidian panel frames.

Written Mounting Hardware Instructions

1. Clean the surface you are mounting on with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
2. Set the panel with mounts on the roof and position it while the mounts are semi-loose. This will let everything settle into a natural tension-free position.
3. Go around and tighten each bolt gradually, being careful to keep the L-Foot in the same position.
4. Lift the panel and peel the tape cover off of each mount foot.
5. Place the sticky panel back on the roof in the same exact position.
6. Check that each foot is flat against the roof, loosen bolts to make adjustments if necessary.
7. Apply the sealant by completely burying the mount foot.
