Victron Battery Monitor Kits

Think of a battery monitor as a fuel gauge for your battery bank. If you want to know the charge level of your battery bank and how much current is entering or leaving your batteries, you need a battery monitor. When energy conservation is critical, a battery monitor is very helpful in educating you on the electrical consumption of your various devices as well as the charging potential of your solar array. On Victron systems we recommend a Lynx Shunt on lithium systems using a Color Control Monitor. For everything else, we recommend the BMV-712 with Bluetooth.
This battery monitoring kit communicates with the Victron Color Control GX Monitor over the VE.CAN BUS system. The system measures voltage, current, capacity, and temperature. It attaches to the Lynx Distributor in the V4 Lithium system.
Battery monitor kit with programmable relay. Measures voltage, current, capacity, and temperature. Can work with any battery type. Built-in Bluetooth. Compatible with the Color Control Monitor.
Bogart Tri-Metric Battery Monitors

The Bogart Engineering Tri-Metric battery monitors are some of the very first RV specific battery monitors on the market. When purchasing be sure to include the Tri-Metric Wire Harness with Shunt.
Magnum BMK (Battery Monitor Kit)

The Magnum ME-BMK communicates battery charge level to the ME-RC50 or ME-ARC remotes. Be sure to purchase the BMK Power Harness with the Magnum ME-BMK.
The BMK works in conjunction with a Magnum inverter to give a remote display battery monitoring capability.
The BMK needs this wire harness to supply its power from the house battery bank.
Temperature Sensors

Because battery chemistry changes with temperature, many charge controllers and inverters use temperature sensors to maintain an effective charging profile.
This is the temperature compensation sensor to use with Blue Sky controllers.
Connects the BMV-702 to provide battery temperature monitoring capability.

Battery Monitor Components

Build your own battery monitor using raw components.
The BMV-712 is Victron's newest high precision battery monitor. The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate ampere hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. Compatible with all battery types. Built-in Bluetooth.
Used to clean up and mark 2/0 or 4/0 negative cable ends
Typically used between the battery bank and a 2000W or larger inverter
Sold by the foot
Typically used a signal wire between a shunt and monitor.
