How much is shipping?

Flat-rate shipping within the contiguous United States is $15. For Alaska. Hawaii, and international customers, please email us at info@amsolar.com for a more specific shipping quote.

Can I pay for expedited shipping to get my items faster?

As of 03/26/2020, UPS has no guaranteed delivery dates or times, no matter the service level selected. If you are a traveling RVer, we understand time is critical in terms of your deliveries. We do our best to accommodate people’s needs, so feel free to email us with the details for an arrangement that will work.

**Note: Dicor and Sikaflex cannot be shipped via air because they are considered flammable goods.

 

Сan I pick up my items from AM solar instead of shipping them?

Sometimes! When filling out a Quote Request form, let our team know that you’re local and interested in picking up the items. Not all items can be picked up from our warehouse, but we do our best to work with customers who want to pick up their order.

Who do you use to ship?

We use USPS and UPS most frequently. Batteries and some panels (Rich Solar) will be drop-shipped via FedEx.

 

What is your return policy?

You have 30 calendar days* from the date in which your items are received to submit requests for returns.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition in which they were received. Some items have special conditions for return and those are outlined on the enclosed Return Material Request Form.

To initiate a return, simply follow the instructions on the enclosed Return Material Request Form.

*Please note, any damaged items must be exchanged within 30 days of your purchase date.

Refunds:

Upon receipt and inspection of returned item(s), we will notify you on whether or not your return has been approved. If it is approved, we will issue a refund to your original payment method. A standard restocking fee of 5% will automatically be applied, up to 50% restocking fee depending on the circumstances of your order.

Please allow for up-to 2 weeks to fully process your return.

*Please note, all inverter/charger sales are final.

 

What if i need to update my shipping address?

With items shipped from AM Solar, please email info@amsolar.com or call the office as soon as possible, there will be a $17 fee to adjust the address if still available.

With batteries, we are unable to update the shipping address for hazardous materials (lithium) once they have shipped. Because lithium batteries require a signature for delivery, FedEx will attempt delivery up to three times if you are not there to receive them. If you are not able to receive those batteries, please contact us ASAP.

 

What information do I need for tax purposes?

Your system may be eligible for a 26% tax credit for systems placed in service before 1/1/2023.  For systems placed in service between 01/01/2023 – 12/31/2023 it becomes 22%.

Note: RV’s have been accepted by the IRS as a second home for tax purposes. This may make your RV’s install eligible for this tax credit.

While very knowledgeable in solar technology, the AM Solar staff is not qualified to provide you with tax advice.  As always, we recommend that you consult with your tax adviser or CPA to make sure this program applies to you and your situation.

Do I need to make a downpayment for installation?

We do not require any down payment for installations. We prefer to show you the fine work we have done before requiring any payment*.

*Special ordering equipment may require a down payment.
